Gold Award for Jaclyn C: Singapore Leprosy Home

A big giant congratulations to Jaclyn C. who was awarded her Gold Award for her work at the Leprosy Home here in Singapore. The home supports 35 residents who have all suffered with leprosy. Because the disease has been eradicated, many forget there are still some living with the consequences. Through the overwhelming support of the expat population here in Singapore, Jaclyn raised donations and sold them at a White Elephant Sale, raising enough funds to buy new comfortable, sturdy chairs for the residents, some of whom have lived at the Leprosy Home since they were three years old. She also orchestrated several visits to the home, bringing lots of joy to the residents. Jaclyn’s work will continued to be supported by a service club at the Singapore American School. Congrats Jaclyn! We’re all very proud of your accomplishment and the work you’ve done!
